Overview
Jennifer Knarich is a seasoned land use and zoning attorney with extensive experience guiding municipalities, developers, and corporate clients through complex real estate and land development approvals. Her practice focuses on land use, zoning, planning, and governmental permitting, utilizing her in-depth knowledge and mastery of local, state, and federal zoning regulations to secure land use entitlements. Ms. Knarich has been involved in various private mixed use redevelopment projects, senior housing, and affordable housing projects. She represents a diverse range of clients—including telecommunications carriers, outdoor advertising companies, financial institutions, service station operators, major shopping center developers, solar field developers, waste management companies, and national fast-food chains—in matters involving land use and zoning approvals, municipal contracts, title issues, public bidding, and commercial leasing.
Ms. Knarich also serves as counsel to municipal planning boards and sits as a planning board member in her own community, giving her a unique, practical perspective on both sides of the land use process.
Ms. Knarich is actively involved in leading industry organizations, including the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC), The Women’s Pipeline Network, the New Jersey Wireless Association, and the Urban Land Institute for New York and New Jersey. She is a frequent lecturer on land use and development issues and has presented at industry and bar association seminars, including the Bergen County Land Use Symposium and events hosted by The Women’s Pipeline Network.
Ms. Knarich is admitted to practice in Connecticut, New Jersey and New York, enabling her to assist clients throughout the tri-state area. She is a member of the American Bar Association, and the bar associations of New Jersey, New York, Rockland County and Bergen County.
Ms. Knarich is a graduate of Union College with honors and received her law degree, cum laude, from Pace University School of Law. While at Pace, she earned a Merit Scholarship and also participated in the Grand Moot Court Competition and Honor Board. She served as a judicial extern for the Honorable George M. Bergerman, Judge of the Supreme Court of New York State, Rockland County.
