Allyson Kasetta

Allyson Kasetta assists residential, commercial and industrial developers in a full range of land use, development, redevelopment and permitting matters. She regularly guides clients through the development process, including site plan approvals, subdivision approvals, variances and permits from various state agencies. Ms. Kasetta has a thorough knowledge of redevelopment law and frequently navigates projects through the process from designation as an area in need of redevelopment through adoption of a redevelopment plan and negotiation of a redeveloper’s agreement. With prior experience representing municipal planning and zoning boards, Ms. Kasetta has a unique perspective on the interactions between developers and the approving authorities, as well as a familiarity with the practices and procedures of many different municipalities.

Ms. Kasetta’s experience in representing developers includes noteworthy projects in northern New Jersey, including a distribution facility in Jersey City for a well-known international courier, a landmark office building in Morristown, and a major redevelopment project located in Clifton and Nutley, where the approval process proceeded concurrently in both municipalities.

As a litigator, Ms. Kasetta challenges and defends local land use board decisions in the Superior Court of New Jersey. She has successfully litigated actions arising from land use decisions in various municipalities on behalf of both developers and municipal land use boards.

Ms. Kasetta received her law degree from Rutgers University School of Law and her undergraduate degree from Rutgers University – New Brunswick. She is a member of the New Jersey State Bar Association, the Bergen County Bar Association and Commercial Real Estate Women of New Jersey (CREWNJ).
