Frederic “Rick” Shulman was a founding member of the firm who passed away in 2023 after a heroic battle with cancer.

Rick graduated from Columbia Law School in 1979, where he was an editor of the Human Rights Law Review. From 1979 until 1990, he practiced law in New York City, concentrating in both commercial litigation and commercial transactional matters.

He co-founded Price Meese Shulman & D’Arminio, P.C. in 1994. He was a member of the New Jersey, New York, and Washington, D.C. bars and represented clients in business matters of various types including purchases and sales of businesses, commercial real estate and personal property leasing and licensing, commercial and residential real estate, employment and contractual matters.

He previously served as a Chairman of the Bergen County Fee Arbitration Committee, as a Civil Arbitrator for the Superior Court, Bergen County, and as a member of the District IIA Ethics Committee. He was a member of the Teaneck Parks, Playground and Recreation Advisory Board and was actively involved in local youth athletic programs.
