Adrienne Zitka practices in the areas of environmental law, land use, and commercial transactions. Ms. Zitka also practices in the area of green building and has achieved the designation of LEED AP (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Accredited Professional) from the U.S. Green Building Council. LEED is the nationally accepted benchmark for the design, construction, and operation of high performance green buildings. The LEED AP designation distinguishes professionals who have demonstrated the knowledge and skills to successfully steward integrated design with the LEED certification process. As such, Ms. Zitka counsels clients in matters related to green building by drafting green construction contracts and assisting clients wishing to benefit from federal, state, and municipal green building incentives.
Ms. Zitka, a Udall scholar, graduated magna cum laude from Muhlenberg College where she was elected to Phi Beta Kappa. She earned her law degree from Rutgers University School of Law-Camden where she served as Notes Editor of the Journal of Law and Policy and participated in the Rutgers Community Dispute Resolution pro bono clinic as well as the school’s Immigration Law pro bono clinic. While in law school, Ms. Zitka also served as a judicial intern to the Honorable Robert P. Contillo of the Chancery Division, General Equity Part, Bergen County and the Honorable Robert B. Kugler of the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey.
