Frederic M. Shulman graduated from Columbia Law School in 1979, where he was an editor of the Human Rights Law Review. From 1979 through 1990, he practiced law in New York City, concentrating in both commercial litigation and commercial transactional matters. He is a member of the New Jersey, New York and Washington, D.C. bars.

As a founding member of the firm, Mr. Shulman concentrates in business matters of various types including purchases and sales of businesses, commercial real estate and personal property leasing and licensing, telecommunications, employment and contractual matters. He principally represents companies in the service-area sector in New York and New Jersey, acting on behalf of those companies in their corporate, commercial, real estate and banking relationships.

In addition, Mr. Shulman continues to represent his and the firm’s litigation clients in matters involving commercial, real estate, product liability, personal injury, condominium law, insurance, civil rights, and employment claims. His experience of more than twenty-five years before the courts of New York and New Jersey includes the trial of negligence, vehicular liability, product liability, premises liability and construction claims, and various matters of business disputes.

Mr. Shulman is a member of the New York State, New York City, New Jersey and Bergen County Bar Associations, and is admitted to practice before the state and federal courts of New York and New Jersey and the Third Circuit Court of Appeals. Mr. Shulman has also handled matters before the American Arbitration Association and in private mediation. He previously served as a Chairman of the Bergen County Fee Arbitration Committee and is presently a Civil Arbitrator for the Superior Court, Bergen County. He is a member of the Teaneck Parks, Playground and Recreation Advisory Board and is actively involved in local youth athletic programs.
