Gail L. Price concentrates in the areas of zoning and planning, representing commercial, industrial and residential developers in connection with land development and construction related issues. She represents national supermarket and hotel chains, developers of assisted living and congregate care facilities, pharmacies, restaurants and other retail chains in securing government approval for the development of corporate owned and leased properties. She is experienced with all federal and state land use and environmental regulations and has represented national corporations on zoning issues of first impression from the trial court level to the New Jersey Supreme Court. She has extensive experience litigating in state and federal court in her respective practice areas and has appeared throughout the state on behalf of her clients.
Ms. Price is counsel to the Harrington Park Planning Board and the Village of Ridgewood Planning Board. She has served as a trustee for the New Jersey State Bar Association Land Use Section and also serves as a trustee to the Bergen County Bar Association (BCBA), where she co-chairs the Land Use Law Section. Ms. Price is a former trustee of the New Jersey Institute of Municipal Attorneys, is an associate member of the International Council of Shopping Centers and is a member of Commercial Real Estate Women of New Jersey. She graduated cum laude from Lehigh University (1979), received her J.D. from Seton Hall University School of Law (1982) and completed judicial clerkship in the Tax Court of New Jersey. She is admitted to practice in New Jersey, New York, the District of Columbia, the United States Tax Court, the United States Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, and the United States Supreme Court.
She has served on the Lehigh University Board of Trustees and is a founding member of the College of Arts & Sciences Advisory Board. She has also served as President and alumni Trustee for the Lehigh Alumni Association, representing the school’s more than 55,000 alumni. She has served as President of the Class of 1979 and speaker at the Inauguration of the University’s 13th President, Dr. Alice Gast. She was a member of the President’s Council on Women, was honored as Young Alumnae of the Year in 1984 and served as the Honors Convocation Speaker in 1988. Gail was also appointed to serve as a member of the Bergen County Ethics Committee, District 2B.
Gail is very active with civic and charitable organizations. She has served as Chair for the Board of Directors for the March of Dimes, North Jersey Division, Chair for the Harvest Ball, and was the recipient of the Chapter Volunteer of the Year Award. She is a member of the College Club of Ridgewood, sits on the Advisory Boards for the Paterson Habitat for Humanity and the Women’s Institute at Bergen Community College. She also has served as a past brd member for the Volunteer Center of Bergen County, the Girl Scout Council of Bergen County and American Stage Company.
Gail was recognized as “Professional Woman of the Year” in 2011/2012 by the National Association of Professional Women. She was selected for inclusion in the Martindale Hubbell Bar Register of Preeminent, AV Women Lawyers (2012-2015) and in New Jersey Magazine’s list of “Super Lawyers.” Other recognitions include: Martindale Hubbell AV, Preeminent Attorney (2012-2015); AV Preeminent Energy, Environmental and Natural Resources Attorneys (2013-2014); New Jersey Monthly Top Attorneys in New Jersey (2012-2014); NY Women Leaders in the Law, ALM (2012-2015); NJ Women Leaders in the Law, ALM (2012-2014); 201 Magazine Bergen County Top Lawyers, Peer Review Survey (2012-2014); Top 40 Women of Influence in New Jersey Real Estate, Real Estate New Jersey (2008-2009). In 2004, she received the Rose and Scroll Woman of Achievements Award from the NJ Association of Women Business Owners, Bergen Chapter, and was presented with the Lawyer Achievement Award from the Bergen County Bar Association in 2005. Gail has served as an Adjunct Professor at Bergen Community College and has lectured many different groups on issues relating to land use and zoning law. She has been recognized for her accomplishments by Who’s Who Among American Business Women, Who’s Who in American Law and Who’s Who Among Executives and Professionals.
